Care England is among the partners in a ground-breaking project that launches at the LSE this month.
Researchers led by the Care Policy and Evaluation Centre will launch the new Economic and Social Research Council funded project (SASCI) on January 13.
Professor Martin Green OBE, Chief Executive of Care England, said: “All too often adult social care has been left out in the cold yet we know that there is an abundance of innovation in the sector. This project will help uncover the reasons as to why some projects work and others fall by the wayside. It will produce a set of tangible recommendations that will help plan and future proof adult social care.”
Led by Dr Juliette Malley, the five-year project will look at the entire process of innovation in adult social care.
The project launch this month will be chaired by former CQC CEO Sir David Behan.
