Officers from West Yorkshire Police’s Major Collision enquiry team are investigating the collision.

The death follows a number of fatal incidents involving mobility scooters that happened in Derby in recent months.

The spate of incidents has led both relatives and parts of the industry to call for tighter restrictions on who can be sold mobility scooters.
