In 2016, Stiltz was ranked 7th on the Sunday Times Lloyds SME Export Track 100 List. For a business which is only eight years old, this is a remarkable achievement.
That year, the business increased its exports by 146% to £3.2M out of annual sales totaling £8.4M. This was due to strong sales in the key markets of USA, Germany and France.
The USA office is wholly-owned by Stiltz, but Germany and France are strategic partners and were identified as primary locations for expansion.
For 2017, Stiltz was notified that it had once again been ranked on the Sunday Times Lloyds SME Export Track 100 List, this time at position 10.
It’s unusual for a business to appear twice as typically an initial export push results in accelerated growth, with subsequent years’ sales flattening out. However Stiltz has, as ever, bucked the trend.
Existing markets such as Germany, France and the USA are being consolidated but new markets including Holland, Canada, Belgium, Czech Republic, New Zealand, Ireland and India are coming on stream.
They are adding to already strong sales, with exports growing by a remarkable 161% to £6.2M out of total recorded sales, of £12.5M.
During 2017 Stiltz introduced premium home lift brand, Lifton as well as the Trio+ which is a stylish, elegant and practical wheelchair-accessible homelift. Both of these have taken the market by storm and contributed to the year’s success.
But there are no plans to stop there. Stiltz will continue to explore new market opportunities as well as developing existing locations and who knows, perhaps it will make it three in a row with significant export growth in 2018 as well.
