Ability Plus’ managing director, Graham Johnson, has told of how staff are pivotal to the company’s successful operation.
In exclusive conversation with AMP, Johnson detailed how staff investment is key for the business in both the long and short term.
It has always been this way for the firm and Johnson thinks having a strong staff focus is what helps retail business thrive.
He said: “In 2020, staff investment will be vital for us to build on what we already offer as a business. Staff are pivotal to what we do and adding to that further will only be a positive thing for us as a company but also our customers when they visit stores and also in after-sales.
Adding: “Having a good quality staff and specialised products supply is what we are all about.”
On the imminent Brexit issue, when discussing his plans for the coming twelve months, Johnson is hopeful that despite the issues, the end result could actually offer opportunity.
Speaking in December, he said: “When it comes to Brexit, despite the potential chaos, the process will offer opportunity and hopefully we can make the most of that.
“From this, I believe there will be more government investment and funds available to access, which we will hope to turn into something beneficial for the people we work with on a daily basis.”
He went on: “I predict that as more general retailers close, more quality staff will become available and with our aim to invest more in our staff, this could prove rewarding for ourselves. This comes as more mobility firms seem to be closing – following the big players like Betterlife and Bathstore.”
Concluding: “As we move into the New Year, we will obviously be keen to continue and improve our customer service across Kent and into London and will aim to do so by working with our suppliers in offering a premier service that cannot be match by the internet box shifters.”
