Seacroft Mobility has been flying the mobility retailer flag in winning a regional retailer business award.
The business, based in Skegness in Lincolnshire, was recognised across the region as the 2019 Retailer of the Year as part of the Skegness Business Awards.
Coming up against businesses from a variety of industries, Andrea Swain, director at Seacroft Mobility said it was an honour to win the award, especially against opposition who specialise in different fields.
Speaking to AMP, she said: “Winning the award means so much to us. We are a family run business managed by four ‘hands on’ directors spanning two generations of our family. We have other family members in key positions throughout the business.”
As a growing business we have streamlined our operations to maintain consistency across our branches but have worked hard to maintain a ‘local’ feel at each branch. We believe we offer the benefits of a larger business, for example in terms of passing on our buying efficiencies to the retail customer, whilst maintaining the ‘hands on’ approach and adaptability of a smaller business.”
She went on to detail how the company was pleased to have been recognised for what it does for the local area.
She explained: “The judges commented upon our contribution to the local community within the Skegness area, noting that we were offering so much more than a retail outlet. During difficult periods of trading, it is even more important to offer a service to customers that goes the extra mile and we are good at this. Our Skegness branch was commended upon the friendliness and caring nature of our staff.”
Concluding: “We were all thrilled by the comments of the judges and it was lovely for our colleagues to have recognition of their hard work. We were particularly proud to put mobility retail on the map Our products are not always the easiest to display and we were competing against furniture and pet retailers.”
