Leading hoist supplier Ergolet has indicated its intentions to bring more companies under its fold as it looks to expand its UK market share.
“We’re casually on the acquisition trail,” Colin Frankland (pictured), regional sales manager, explained to Access and Mobility Professional.
“If there’s a company that will help us increase our market share and we can bring them in house then we’ll strongly consider that.”
Danish firm Ergolet, which merged with Winncare to form Ergolet by Winncare Nordic last year, is enjoying an expansion of its UK arm.
The firm, which is a major player on the hoist circuit, has recently run out of space at its current premises and it has expressed a need to find a larger unit in the next few months.
New products are expected to enter the market in the coming months and it will continue to align itself with Winncare’s offering, which specialises in beds. Frankland noted how the partnership between the two groups is very complementary.
Frankland concluded: “From now on, the future is going to be quite different. It’s definitely one to watch. Next year is definitely going to be an exciting one, there will be all manner of changes as we introduce new products, the new entity that we have.”
