Wheelchair accessible vehicle specialist, Koller, is returning to an annual community transport conference with a bolstered portfolio of products it has manufactured, including a new wheelchair lift barrier.
The WAV supplier will exhibit its products to visitors of The London Strategic Community Transport (CT) Forum Annual Conference, Bognor Regis from 20-21 March 2019.
Showcasing at the event will be FALL STOP, which is a new safety barrier created especially for accessible vehicle lifts to prevent wheelchair users from falling off while using a lift.
Dean Koller, director of Koller Engineering, said an increased number of vehicle lifts means increased potential for accidents.
He said: “It is very easy for a wheelchair to roll off a lift, or for an attendant to step back just that little bit too far. With this in mind, our design experts created a very strong, yet light-weight barrier called FALL STOP.
“It is very easy to fit and can be stored away without fuss. We hope this will give our customers even more choice when it comes to implementing equipment that reinforces safe accessible travel.”
FALL STOP will be on display at the conference, along with many items from the portfolio, including the Koller EXCEL 120 Combined, the first restraint of its type on the market.
