eFOLDi sends for more inventory as TV campaign bolsters trade sales


eFOLDi has promised dealers that containers packed with its flagship folding scooters are currently winging their way to the UK after a TV advertising campaign sparked a flurry of orders.

The Surrey-based outfit launched the 30-second television advert (pictured above during filming) in the Meridian South Region in September and claims to have sold “hundreds” of units since it aired.

The boost from the advert has been so effective that the brand is now planning to extend the campaign to other parts of the UK, starting with the Midlands and north of England.

In anticipation of further demand, eFOLDI confirmed it is “working hard” to ensure that stocks won’t dry up. One container of scooters is currently ready for dispatch with further inventory in the pipeline.

Additionally, eFOLDi is about to launch a dedicated website for trade sales only, making it easier for dealers to order and manage their accounts.

The roll-out comes as the business moves to consolidate some of its facilities to support its expansion. It is in the process of replacing its Leicester workshop and current Redhill office with a single, centralised workshop and office elsewhere in Redhill.

The new facility will be open and fully functioning just as soon as it has completed a small refurbishment to create more working space.

Meanwhile, it is set to launch a new ultra-light, magnesium-framed wheelchair next week. The frame designs are over 30% lighter than an equivalent aluminium frame and set new standards in terms of lightweight devices, according to the company.

The complete transit wheelchair with attendant brakes comes in at just 9.5kg, while the self-propelled version is fractionally heavier at 10.5kg – almost 5kg lighter than a similar aluminium chair, eFOLDi said.
