Easy Living Mobility is maintaining a diverse retail portfolio by concentrating on both franchise and company-owned stores rather than favouring one channel.
The business is set to open a new store soon (not pictured), which will be its first company-owned outlet since it launched a new franchise model in the spring.
The exact location of the new store is under wraps for the next few days but it will be situated in the West Midlands area, in line with the rest of its portfolio.
Easy Living Mobility opened its first franchise shop in Wolverhampton in June but management believes that staying diverse and partnering with ‘the right people’ will be key to future business growth.
The company’s owner, Daniel Griffiths, said that opening another company-owned store “means and does a lot internally for staff’s progression and the local community”. He said that the new shop also links well with Easy Living Mobility’s existing stores and customer base.
Griffiths said: “Moving forward for us is not about a balance between company-owned stores and franchisees, moving forward for us is about find the right partners that believe in the industry the same way as we at Easy Living Mobility do.
“We truly believe it’s all about the right people. These people could already own a mobility business and we partner in some way, or take over via acquisition. They could be new franchisees or our own employees. It’s all about the right people.”
