Easy Living Mobility has opened a new company-owned store in the Staffordshire town of Hanley, AMP can reveal.
The company is concentrating on both franchise and company-owned stores rather than favouring one channel.
The store in Hanley, close to Stoke-on-Trent, is the first company-owned outlet since it launched a new franchise model in the spring.
Easy Living Mobility opened its first franchise shop in Wolverhampton in June but management believes that staying diverse and partnering with ‘the right people’ will be key to future business growth.
The company’s owner, Daniel Griffiths, said that opening another company-owned store “means and does a lot internally for staff’s progression and the local community”. He said that the new shop also links well with Easy Living Mobility’s existing stores and customer base.
Griffiths said: “Moving forward for us is not about a balance between company-owned stores and franchisees, moving forward for us is about find the right partners that believe in the industry the same way as we at Easy Living Mobility do.
“We truly believe it’s all about the right people. These people could already own a mobility business and we partner in some way, or take over via acquisition. They could be new franchisees or our own employees. It’s all about the right people.”
