A new disability sports centre in Ulster will take order of around £45,500 worth of specialist equipment, it has emerged.
Disability Sports NI will be providing the equipment for the centre, which will cater for wheelchair sports, sensory sports, bocce and inclusive cycling.
According to a report by the Tyrone Times, the local council will develop a two-year plan to encourage participations and support for disabled sports.
It was also revealed that inclusive play equipment could be a subject of investment after the Director of Culture and Leisure for the area said there was ongoing work regarding Parks Strategy.
At a meeting, a councillor requested an audit of Council play parks regarding the availability of equipment for those with mental and physical disabilities, according to the newspaper.
