Disability Needs drives for ‘aggressive growth’ with new appointment

Disability Needs has strengthened its team with the appointment of a new business development manager, Andrew Smyth.

Andrew brings with him more than 10 years of product knowledge and a wealth of international experience building strategic business partnerships. Andrew worked in various roles within the pharmaceuticals industry before finding his strength within the healthcare profession.

Working as area sales manager for Total Hygiene for the past nine years, Andrew was quickly regarded as a successful member of the team.

Andrew will play a key role in developing and meeting the company’s “aggressive growth goals” as well as the company’s outstanding reputation for service and delivery to the healthcare professionals, trade and customers.

Andrew will be responsible for a wide portfolio of products across the bathroom range including automatic toilets, shower chairs, ceiling track hoists and disabled facilities for private, commercial and public properties.

Commenting on the new appointment, Mark Spottiswoode, managing director, said: “Andrew brings valuable know-how to Disability Needs and he will be an asset to the team. His product knowledge and his strategic thinking will be invaluable as we continue to grow our presence across Ireland and into other export markets.”
