Disability charity secures £131,000 lottery fund grant


KIDS Yorkshire has been awarded nearly £131,000 from The National Lottery Fund.

It is to help pay for the project over the next three years.

As part of a Bridlington Free Press report, it detailed how the new group, called Hear Our Voice, hopes to help young people with disabilities and special educational needs in the area to have an influence on decisions which affect them.

Claire Crosbie, senior regional fundraiser for KIDS Yorkshire, explained: “We are so thrilled to have been awarded this funding and would like to say a huge thank you to The National Lottery Community Fund and to all the National Lottery players for making this possible.”

Adding: “There is nothing quite like this in Bridlington and we want to ensure that young people with a disability have their voice heard.”
