Andover-based equipment retailer, DF Mobility, has revealed a local school as the winner of its community Christmas gift.

Danny Fendo, director of the recently-launched business, presented £2,000 worth of sensory equipment to children and staff at Icknield School.

Fendo said the equipment was given to make some children’s Christmas “a little brighter”.

He stated on social media that he wanted to the kit to go to a worthy cause, such as a school or organisation so more than one child can get use out of it.

He asked the public for suggestions on where to donate the equipment and entered each name into a hat.

Icknield School won the draw and thanked Fendo for the gift, which included rope lights, a scent machine, a glitter ball, mirrors and bead tumblers.

In a Facebook post, Fendo said: “We’ve just delivered the Sensory kit to Icknield School. Melts my heart. Such lovely children and a fantastic school. Merry Christmas to all the children [at] Icknield School.”
