Dash-cam appeal after fatal mobility scooter collision in Yorkshire

Police in Yorkshire are appealing to motorists for dash-cam footage after a fatal collision involving a mobility scooter.

The collision happened at around 10.45am on Wednesday 5 June in York when a Ford Fiesta, which was travelling towards the city centre, was in collision with the scooter.

The rider of the scooter, a man in his 80s from York, was taken to York District Hospital where he died from his injuries a week later.

The driver of the Fiesta, a woman in her 80s, was uninjured.   

Police are appealing to motorists in the area at the time who may have dash-cam footage of the scooter or Fiesta prior to the collision, or footage of the incident to contact them.

They are also appealing to anyone else who was in the area and saw either vehicle prior to the collision or witnessed the incident, to contact them.
