Cosyfeet to offer windfalls for community groups helping older people

Specialist footwear supplier Cosyfeet has launched an initiative to support community groups that are working to reduce isolation and loneliness among older people.

The Cosyfeet Community Project Award offers a one-off donation of £750 to registered charities or not-for-profit organisations and clubs who are working on local projects within the UK that support and enrich the lives of older people.

There are two awards of £750 each available – one for projects operating within Somerset (which is where Cosyfeet is based), and one for projects operating in another area of the UK.

The supplier is particularly interested in projects that provide practical and emotional help, keep older people active or give them a chance to meet up with other – anything that may help older people feel less isolated and more involved within their community.

Entries must be submitted by Tuesday 31st July 2018. Clubs or charities that win the award will need to provide images for promotional purposes at the point of winning and at a later stage in the year.

Cosyfeet recently played a central role in Mobility Solutions’ new footwear shop-in-shop.

The retailer tripled the size of its footwear range, bringing in new products to bolster its offering. Part of this included increasing its Cosyfeet range.
