Specialist care and retirement developer Castleoak has won a £25m contract for a retirement and care village.
Its most ambitious assisted living design and build contract to date, the deal in Windsor was struck with Castle Retirement Living.
Robin Hughes, Castle Retirement Living chief executive, said: “Castleoak has a strong track record of delivering high quality, retirement living and care schemes.
“We’ve collaborated to build what I think will be one of the most innovative urban retirement villages in the UK.”
Under the deal, Castleoak will deliver 58 one, two and three-bed assisted living apartments along with a 72-bed care home.
Assisted living facilities will include a roof terrace with views of Windsor Castle, coffee shop, restaurant, bar and underground car park.
Craig Currie, Castleoak chief executive, said: “This ambitious project exemplifies Castleoak’s specialist design and build offering.
“We have partnered with Castle Retirement Living from the inception of this project and have provided specialist design, build and operational advice to refine the speculation. Now we’re ready to begin the build.”
Ground preparation work for the project began in August with construction due to start last month. The project is due to complete in autumn 2018.
