Discount mobility retailer Careco opened a new store in Southampton recently, marking its 10th location and third store opening of this year.
It was described by managing director William Harrison as the company’s “best store yet”, according to a local newspaper.
Mr Harrison said that bricks and mortar stores are still important in the mobility sector.
He told the Hampshire Chronicle that it is best for customers to try products out for themselves and test drive mobility scooters where possible.
“We’ve very knowledgeable advisors who can demonstrate the features of each item and help customers find the right product for their needs. Our Southampton showroom is our best store yet.
“Southampton has a very good reputation for supporting successful store launches and we know that there is a lot of potential demand within the area for mobility products, so it was a logical choice for our landmark 10th store.”
Careco’s new branch is on Romsey Road, five minutes from the M27 and 15 minutes from the city centre.
It has parking, including disabled spots, and is designed with a “relaxed, open-plan space”.
Careco’s new Southampton store has opened up three jobs.
