Care & Independence has appointed a new manager for its business development team as it looks towards the next stage of growth.
The Class I medical device safe patient moving and handling specialists have welcomed Richard Gomm as business development manager, who will initially be responsible for driving the company’s community equipment store-focused Comfort Value range of products.
With more than two decades working in the medical device industry, his remit will also cover increasing awareness of and access to joint-assessment-led Glove sling and premium showering & bathing ranges.
Sales and marketing director, James Bennett says: “Richard’s exposure to the industry in terms of moving & handling equipment, bathing & showering equipment and assistive technology is impressive; presenting an expertise that is humbly confident and user-outcome focused. Down to earth, a clear relationship builder and very much aligned to our company values, I’m confident Richard will quickly become a highly valued member of our team.”
Richard joins the company at a time of fast growth and evolution. In the past 18 months, despite the pandemic, Care & Independence has seen their best-ever financial performance.
