Medical devices company Care & Independence has announced the return of Karen Poffley as its new marketing and brand manager.
Poffley had previously provided maternity cover and was contracted in the role for periods across 2019 and 2020, so was the “obvious choice” to step into the vacant positon, according to sales and marketing director James Bennett.
He said: “During both times Karen was working with us, she demonstrated a strong capability for the many and varied tasks required of this role as well as integrated herself well with the wider team. Her verve and work ethic is very high and that showed in the dedication to excellence and quality of the output.
“Previous exposure to the role also means Karen is able to hit the ground running – which is exactly what we need as we continue to develop the business.”
Poffley brings over 20 years of marketing experience across a range of market sectors.
Of her recent appointment she said: “I’m thrilled to be back. Being able to complete the projects which were put on hold during the final months of my initial contract due to the pandemic gives me a personal satisfaction but also, what Care & Independence stand for, what they do, the difference they make to people’s lives, it really resonates with me.
“I’m very much looking forward to help shape and promote this fantastic company – it’s an exciting time to be part of the team for sure.”
