Bush Healthcare has once again increased its retail portfolio with the launch of a new store on an expanding retail park in Carmarthenshire, South West Wales.

The dealer now has 11 outlets in South Wales and plans to open its second English store in Yate soon.

Bush secured a 10 year let at an annual rent of £28,500 in a 3,500 sq ft unit in Cross Hands retail park from which it will sell stairlifts, easy access bathrooms and other mobility equipment.

Built in the 1980s, the retail park lies on a key link route between East and West Wales. The mobility business has a range of stores on both high street, out of town and retail park locations.

In the summer it finally made its cross-border move into England by opening a shop in Hereford.

The store occupies a former Age UK site and is located on a busy, pedestrianised high street close to the city centre.

Martin Bush, founder of Bush Healthcare, which was one of the first mobility dealers to operate on the high street, said earlier this year that the company is always looking to expand, providing “it is comfortable”.

Bush Healthcare currently has around 50 staff and a fleet of 30 vehicles. It has showrooms in Aberdare, Abergavenny, Blackwood, Bridgend, Cross Hands, Cwmbrân, Hereford, Neath, Newport, Pontypridd, Porthcawl and Swansea.
