Bristan, a leading tap and shower brand, is exhibiting for the first time at Naidex, where it is showcasing a selection of products that aid independent living.
Prominent among these is Bristan Joy Care, a BEAB Care and RNIB (Royal National Institute of Blind People) endorsed thermostatic electric shower.
Taking into account the needs of the elderly and people with disabilities, without compromising on style or performance, the Joy Care shower incorporates a large dial for ease of use, raised markings and an audible settings click, among many other features designed for inclusive living.
Among the other products on show is the Design Utility X-Head Kitchen Taps which have coloured blue and red indices and a cross head design that are easy to operate and most likely to be recognised by people with dementia.
As part of the shower range, other products include the Design Utility Lever Shower, which has an intuitive action and an adjustable riser rail that makes it easy for people of all abilities to operate.
And the OPAC Concealed Mini Valve Shower features advanced thermostatic control for the highest level of protection from scalding.
Chris Tranter, senior product manager at Bristan, comments: “With an aging population and more multi-generational households than ever before, it is a sector that is set to grow rapidly in the next decade.
“Solutions such as Joy Care fill a gap in the market because competitor products are still struggling to balance accessibility with unobtrusive, high-end design – we believe that safety shouldn’t come at the cost of aesthetics. Stop by and meet our expert team who can help advise on how to create a functional yet stylish bathroom that meets the needs of users for years to come.”
