Rehabilitation services supplier, Blatchford, has announced a new contract to deliver prosthetic, orthotic and technician services on behalf of Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Trust.
The contract will involve the largest centre in Birmingham as well as two partner centres in Wolverhampton and Stoke.
The contract starts in April 2019 and has been awarded for five years.
Blatchford will work deliver services to patients with all levels of amputation and limb loss; the orthotic service will provide care to patients whose needs are deemed specialist and have not been met by the district orthotic services within the West Midlands.
A Blatchford spokesperson said: “We look forward to welcoming the clinical and technical team from the largest centre in Birmingham as well as the two partner centres in Wolverhampton and Stoke.
“This follows our recent success in achieving new contracts to deliver wheelchair services to patients in Rotherham and to deliver specialist wheelchair services to patients in Mid Nottinghamshire.”
Blatchford is a supplier of rehabilitation services which provides its services to a range of healthcare organisations including NHS provider trusts and directly commissioned services.
