One of the largest agricultural shows in the country is urgently looking for a mobility firm to provide scooters and wheelchairs from tomorrow after the company that was due to hire out equipment reportedly went into administration.
Mobility Hire 4 U, which is part of the Bartrams Healthcare group, has gone into administration according to the organisers of the Great Yorkshire Show, who are said to be “disappointed”.
The firm’s website is down and says the account has been suspended. AMP is waiting on Bartrams and the apparent administrators to confirm.
The show, which takes place in Harrogate from the 10th to the 12th July, has been unable to find an alternative mobility supplier as of yet.
According to a local radio station, visitors to the show have been advised to contact SFP Group, the reported administrators of Mobility Hire 4 U.
A statement from the show organisers said: “We are very disappointed to learn that Mobility Hire 4 U which provides wheelchair and electric scooter hire at the Great Yorkshire Show, has gone into administration.
“We have tried to find an alternative supplier but unfortunately at such short notice, this hasn’t proved possible.
“Visitors who have hired wheelchairs and electric scooters directly from Mobility Hire 4 U are asked to contact the administrators SFP Group.”
