Occupational therapist Adam Ferry is set to present a new CPD-accredited Seminar at OTAC Midlands.
Ahead of the event held at Drayton Manor Hotel on January 22, Ferry detailed how the seminar will focus on the importance of bathing for positive sleep and routines.
Held in Theatre 2 in partnership with Abacus Specialist Bathroom Solutions, the talk will take place from 11-11.30am.
The synopsis of the seminar outlines how bathing assessments often become focused on the physical transfer of getting in and out of the bath.
It goes on to reveal that because of this, the session will consider the occupation of bathing with a particular focus on how bathing can support sleep and positive routines and discuss the impact on children and their parents as well as adults and their carers.
Ferry hopes that after the session, attendees will will reflect on bathing as a meaningful occupation, go away with greater appreciation of the link between bathing and sleep, consider impact of a positive bedtime routine on clients and their carers and will have developed greater understanding of equipment available to support bathing as a meaningful occupation.
