Ableworld says it has secured a series of excellent product offers to support a special ‘Birthday Sale’ marking 20 years in business.
The company plans to celebrate the anniversary of managing director Mike Williams (pictured) opening its first store two decades ago with a company-wide initiative designed to entice customers.
It will roll out special product discounts, alongside increased marketing efforts and in-store festivities.
Ableworld store managers were recently invited to its headquarters in Nantwich to launch the sale and the retailer is confident that the offers it has created will attract new customers to its outlets.
Sales at the firm are up 20% in the first nine months of its fiscal year ending August 2021, after falling 3% in the last full-year period due to the pandemic.
Last week Mr Williams said the company had responded well to the challenges thrown at it and felt vindicated by the strategic path it took during the crisis.
“Our strategy for continuing to open throughout the pandemic was certainly correct, not only from the moral point of view, supporting the vulnerable in our society but also from a financial point of view,” he said.
“Our staff have been fantastic and, in return, wherever possible, we have supported them. A lot of staff at the start of the pandemic were furloughed and those that weren’t we have looked after in many different ways including extra holidays and financially.”
