Wetroom firm backs female installers’ conference

Specialist wetroom manufacturer Impey has been announced as one of the official sponsors of the Women Installers Together Conference 2018, organised by Stopcocks Women Plumbers, a national franchise of female plumbers.

Now in its second year, the Women Installers Together Conference celebrates women installers in the plumbing and gas installation industries.

The event offers delegates the opportunity to listen to inspirational guest speakers, get involved in group discussions, share their experiences with fellow attendees, network with other female installers and meet a selection of carefully chosen industry sponsors.

Founder of Stopcocks Women Plumbers and host of Women Installers Together 2018, Hattie Hasan, commented on Impey’s sponsorship, saying: “We’re delighted to welcome Impey as a sponsor of Women Installers Together Conference 2018 for what we hope will be the beginning of a beautiful relationship.

“With the increasing desire for wetrooms, Impey’s innovative solutions and emphasis on good training show they’re a forward-thinking company enabling elegant and beautiful design in both form and function.”

Shaun Hunt, Impey’s technical manager, said: “We are incredibly pleased to be supporting the 2018 Women Installers Together Conference. It’s an inspirational initiative which will undoubtedly encourage and motivate the many attendees and women installers across the UK.

“With only an estimated 1% of installers across the UK being female, the Women Installers Together Conference and Stopcocks are doing a fabulous job of raising awareness of the career path and establishing a firm and equal footing for those women who want to be part of the plumbing and gas fitting industries.

“We feel there is a definite synergy between our two brands, and we’re very much looking forward to attending the event and meeting some of the skilled tradeswomen; and of course, Hattie and her team from Stopcocks.”
