During its six-minute slot, Stiltz showcased two different customers; Mr and Mrs Cowie who were existing Duo+ homelift owners, and Mr and Mrs Kilburn who were in the process of installing the new Trio+ homelift.
Mr and Mrs Kilburn from Peterborough have been extending and renovating their home to make it wheelchair-friendly. This is because Mr Kilburn has a progressive illness which will eventually require level access to all rooms.
The Kilburn’s chose a Stiltz Trio+ because the lift was great in terms of aesthetics, its footprint was significantly smaller than any other wheelchair lift on the market and it could stand in the centre of the room enabling them to still reach their bookshelves easily.
With a keen eye for design, the shape and styling of the Trio+ appealed and the clean, clear shape and contemporary materials suited their existing décor perfectly.
As the couple run their business from home, the layout of the extension needed careful consideration and had to provide a defined office space from which to work.
They decided the perfect space for their homelift would in fact be within their new office extension, with the lift travelling to their bedroom above.
A camera crew followed the first day of the lift installation with explanatory voiceover being provided by the company’s Technical Manager who was on site overseeing the installation.
Watch the short video below to see how the installation took shape and hear what Mr and Mrs Kilburn had to say about the new technological addition to their home.
