Stroke of luck for dealer hunting unique mobility equipment

A mobility distributor looking to source unique products at the recent Trade Days show struck gold when it won a competition and presented with one of Scooterpac’s unique mobility scooters.  

Tracy Street, business director at DMS, was presented with the keys to the new scooter by Josh Coles, marketing manager at Scooterpac.

She said she was “shocked” to have won the competition and that she was pleased with “a unique bit of kit”.

She said: “We’re actually here today looking for new products to stock so it’s a brilliant start. We’ve been here every year to source products for our online store. We’re based in London so the NEC is a nice and central location for the UK mobility businesses.”

“We’re always on the lookout for unique products. What we do stock has to be unique and useful for our customers so this will be perfect. It needs to be functional, accessible and also look good.”

Josh Cole, marketing manager at Scooterpac, who presented Street with the scooter, said the equipment is “absolutely unique”.

“There’s nothing like this on the market. We’ve been moving a lot of the production over from China to the UK recently so we’re really aiming for top quality.

“Once you get one in the showroom and a customer sees it there’s a wow-factor. There are much younger people in the mobility market now and we’ve got to get away from the stereotypes.”
