A new service has recently launched which claims it can assist firms in the industry that are looking to export their products to foreign markets.
Northampton-based Help2Export offers help to businesses within the East Midlands area that have little or no export experience in exporting goods.
The new business is run by Steve Clark who is also in charge of Hospital Aids – a previous winner of the UKTI sponsored, Medilink East Midlands Export Achievement award in 2015 and runner up in the subsequent, 2016 Medilink UK award in the same category.
Help2Export advisers are able to carry out a one hour review to help to establish a firm’s position with regards to exporting potential, by looking at the goods/services on offer and suggesting suitable initial export markets to consider.
In addition, by registering with Help2Export the client company will be able to add their profile to the members section of the H2E website in order to help raise their profile and advertise their intention to export.
Help2Export Ltd will also signpost clients to the various free & chargeable services which are available from government bodies such as the Department for International Trade (DIT), Chambers of Commerce and other such organisations who are keen to encourage exporting.
Managing director, Steve Clark, commented: “When our business (Hospital Aids) started up in 2002, we were very naïve about the pursuit of export business. It was only through the encouragement and financial assistance from organisations such as UKTI (now DIT), Medilink East Midlands (our trade organisation) and Northampton Chamber of Commerce that we eventually made a great success of our export business.
“We were able to organise visits to relevant trade shows, commission OMIS (Overseas Market Introduction Service) reports and eventually pluck up the courage to exhibit at international exhibitions in order to seek out distributors for our business.”
