Shepherd Hospital Equipment, the parent company of South Coast dealer Solent Mobility, has been awarded a contract to install a new electric pool hoist at a local school.
The firm has already been working with Kings School in Winchester for several years maintaining and repairing its mobility equipment.
Shepherd carried out a full site survey prior to issuing a quotation and determined the optimum positioning and structure regarding the width of the pool and height of the ceiling.
A Wincare Pool Lift hoist was specified for the job, which in addition to its many safety features includes a swimming pool stretcher for horizontal transfer and emergencies and a swimming pool chair for standard transfer.
The installation took about four hours including testing, and directors Mike and Jamie Watts, together with engineer Tom Abbott, were said to be “pleased” with the end result.
Mike Watts said: “It always gives you a good feeling when a job is well prepared and can be executed in an efficient and professional manner”.
