Shropshire Mobility Repairs has warned people to be weary of being offered or sold a metallic red Freerider Kensington 2 scooter, after one was stolen from the firm on Sunday.
Thieves managed to steal the mobility scooter from the company’s van near Oswestry and the business is now appealing for information.
The Kensington was being repaired and was due to be delivered to one of the repairer’s customers, who is now unable to leave her home.
Owner of Shropshire Mobility Repairs, Andrea Marston, told the Shropshire Star that the company is now “desperately trying to locate” another scooter for the customer.
“We’re absolutely devastated for the customer and cannot believe that mindless criminals can sink to such lows of stealing a mobility scooter.”
In a post on social media, the company wrote: “If anyone gets offered a metallic red freerider Kensington 2 mobility scooter which has our stickers on and this scooter was actually for one of our valued customers or a single clio alloy wheel please let us know!”
