A sports club in Glasgow has taken order of 10 configurable RGK Club Sport wheelchairs worth £12,500.
Glasgow Sport, in partnership with Scotstoun Community Sports Hub, invested in the chairs which have been delivered to Kelvin Hall.
The wheelchairs are multi-sport and will be available to anyone wanting to try a disability sport but will also be used by Glasgow’s Scottish Women Warriors Wheelchair Basketball Club.
Founder of the club, Annemarie Monaghan, has welcomed the new equipment. She told Glasgow Live: “Women Warriors is built on inclusion and this collaboration with the fantastic Glasgow Fever epitomises that.
“It creates the opportunity for women with and without disabilities to play together and above all else for each to reach their own potential both on and off the court. It’s also great to know the equipment will be available for use by anyone in the city.”
