Power Plate, a provider of whole body vibration training solutions, has announced an exclusive distribution partnership with Aevum Care.
The agreement will see Aevum Care have the rights to distribute Power Plate to care homes and private customers.
Manufactured and distributed by Performance Health Systems, Power Plate’s gold standard vibration technology has proved an important addition to a number of nursing homes across the country, delivering fast, effective results, according to the firm.
Residents have reportedly experienced an increase in circulation and reduction of pain and swelling, along with an increase in strength and mobility, leading to fewer falls, greater independence and improved quality of life.
The Power Plate sedentary ageing solution, launched in 2016, incorporates the compact, portable version of Power Plate, which can be used while seated, operated with the easy-to-use remote control and stored neatly away when not in use.
Matthew Pengelly, founder of Aevum Care, said: “We’re excited to be working with Power Plate to bring their sedentary care solution to care homes. We are committed to improving the quality of life of elderly people and have seen, first-hand, the benefits Power Plate can bring to nursing homes.
“If people put their feet on the plate for just a few minutes a day, it can make a huge improvement to their strength and mobility, which boosts confidence and increases independence, as well as being an enjoyable activity.”
Meanwhile, David Williams, head of UK commercial sales at Performance Health Systems, commented: “We’re excited to work with Aevum Care on the distribution of Power Plate. With the team’s experience and dedication to improving the lives of older people, care homes and private clients alike will receive exceptional service and training, and witness a huge improvement in their day to day life.”
