A mobility dealer is set to open its first showroom next month with a site in Keighley, West Yorkshire.
KL Stairlifts is the new mobility arm of Keighley Lifts and its debut retail outlet will stock mobility aids such as hoists but will specialise in selling and installing new and refurbished stairlifts across Yorkshire.
The showroom will launch with a grand opening later next month and head of mobility for the firm, Ele Greenwood, said the dealership will work alongside end-users, charities and health professionals including OTs.
“We aim to provide disabled people and their carers and families with the tools needed throughout everyday life,” she told Keighley News.
“Our vision is to inspire and support people of all ages who face disabling barriers, to challenge and overcome these barriers and to live independent and active lives.
The showroom will be officially opened by Keighley East councillor Steve Pullen and KL Stairlifts is inviting organisations and charities to attend. An inspirational guest speaker who is an advocate for sport in disability will also attend the opening on 21 February.
The store will open for business the following day.
KL Stairlifts is owned and run by husband and wife, Stuart and Isabel Boocock. Its parent company, Keighley Lifts, is a family-run business with son and daughter heading up installation and finance.
Keighley Lifts is part of the larger Swansea Lifts Group.
