Community equipment services provider, Medequip, has opened a new mobility retail shop at its Ipswich depot.
The firm, which has around 19 depots and a significant e-commerce operation, has expanded its retail portfolio in an effort to provide self-funding customers with products otherwise not usually provided by community equipment services.
At its retail outlets it displays a range of daily living aids and also larger products such as rise and recline chairs and powered bath lifts alongside the rollators and other mobility aids.
The company says: “Our trusted assessors are on hand at all of our locations to guide customers through the equipment options that best suit their needs.
“Whether a customer just needs a Helping Hand reacher or a more complex equipment option, Medequip can offer the widest range of choice coupled with our expertise and experience to ensure each person’s individual needs are met.”
Medequip also operates two Independent Living Centres in Derby and the Semington. Both have been set up to allow clients to get personal assessments and advice before making purchases.
At Semington there is also a test track for mobility scooters and walking aids.
