A luxury care facility aiming to set the benchmark for luxury elderly nursing care opens in Battersea Place this month.
LifeCare Residences’ Albert Suites provides 30 exclusive suites near Battersea Park.
Richard Davis, LifeCare Residences’ CEO, said: “The Albert Suites at Battersea Place sets a new standard in bespoke, dignified nursing care for London. Offering residents peace of mind that all facets of their care will be accommodated, we aim to build a new-found, enriched quality of life for each person, regardless of their circumstances.
“It’s crucial to highlight the calibre of staff that we have to administer highly complex and sensitive care to our residents in the Albert Suites, each of whom is credited for their personal warmth, empathy and optimism, appreciates the art of anticipation and is dedicated to delivering the highest standard of care.”
Residents will be provided with 24-7 care within their suites. Services include:
Convalescence and post-operative care;
Long-term care covering Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neurone Disease and a variety of respiratory and cardiac conditions; and
Palliative care including pain management and emotional support and wellbeing care provided by a Gold Standard Framework trained team.
Traditional nursing care can be complemented by a range of healthcare from physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists to dentists, opticians and audiologists. Holistic therapies such as aromatherapy, acupuncture, massage and reflexology can also be arranged.
Each suite features high quality furnishings and fittings, including a kitchenette and en-suite bathroom, along with top of the range medical equipment, flat screen television, Sky subscription and Wifi access. Residents can personalise their suite with their own furnishings.
Hotel-inspired facilities include 24-hour room service and a chef-led menu that provides restaurant-plated meals, rich in nutritional value, as well as a café that offers boutique roasted coffee and refreshments each day.
The onsite executive chef works closely with the nursing team to ensure that each resident’s dietary requirements are met. Residents receive ‘silver service’ delivery of medications, with the traditional hospital trolley banished.
A hydro pool and specialist gym will be available to rehabilitation residents. A full-time lifestyle coordinator will be on hand to devise a calendar of activities that meet the needs and reflect the interests of residents. An accessibly-designed minibus will offer regular outings across London and also to countryside retreats. Residents will enjoy the close proximity of Battersea Park for outings with families and friends.
