What do you most enjoy about working in the industry?
Sometimes this is often overlooked when working to budgets but genuinely we are here to improve independence and the quality of lives for others. It does give a sense of purpose for myself and the organisation.

I met Rachel Riley whom was messaging me on Twitter!
What’s your biggest achievement in the industry to date?
Starting up Betterlife from inception and disposing of the business to LloydsPharmacy.
How long have you worked for your current employer and how did you get into the industry?
Started with Drive 1 August 2017, so five months. I have been in the industry for 14 years.
What’s the hardest part of your job?
Staying away from the family is the toughest, however prioritising opportunities is also hard given the possibilities being within the industry creates.
Which other company (inside or outside the industry) do you most admire and why?
The obvious ones are Apple and Amazon in the way in which they have created a benchmark for customer services and brand recognition. Another is Appliances Online — a business that was set up on a bet and is the largest online retailer for white goods. At every touch point you feel that your business is valued whilst the company maximises its chances of increasing transaction value.
What’s the first thing you do when you get into work in the morning?
Three things: Skim-read emails for any urgent action, write a ‘to-do list’ for the day (excluding meetings!) and have a large coffee.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
I received the Serenity Prayer on a chain once and the message has always stuck with me: “God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can and wisdom to know the difference.”
