Exel Mobility, based near Kilmarnock, Ayrshire, has opened a new, larger showroom so it can keep up with customers’ demands for a wider variety of mobility products and draw in new clients from further afield.
The family-run dealership was formerly based nearby in North Harbour, but hopes to attract more customers with an outlet situated five minutes from a hospital and with ample and free parking – something many high street retailers struggle to offer.
The new location is readily accessible to a much wider geographical area than its former HQ and it is hoped that it will open up the business and its services to people across Central Scotland, including current and new customers.
Exel’s premises will display a range of mobility and daily living aids including mobility scooters, wheelchairs, walking aids, rise recline chairs, stair lifts, personal care products and more. The shop is also spacious enough to allow customers to test equipment.
The company claims to have highly competitive sales and servicing and an experienced team. It also offers a rental service and finance on items including scooters and powerchairs, which it supplies to both end-users and operators in the leisure and tourism industries.
Servicing and repairs will be conducted from the company’s new workshop and it will also offer a price match guarantee.
Among its customers, Exel lists the NHS, care homes, government agencies, schools and hotels.
