An ex-wheelchair basketball star has joined the ranks of Hemel Hempstead-based Better Mobility.
Jordan Luce joins the dealer as a junior seating specialist and is currently undertaking an extensive training program learning the retailer’s service and seating assessment processes.
The 23-year-old most recently played wheelchair basketball for German team, ‘Cologne 99’ and also the French National Team.
Injury sadly bought Luce’s sporting career to a premature end, but sport’s loss is very much Better Mobility’s gain, the company said.
Luce will be responsible for assisting seating specialist, Andy Wynn in providing complex wheelchairs and seating for customers.
The retailer encourages its staff to develop through continued learning opportunities through training courses, on the job training, sharing experiences and learning from each other. It emphasises great communication among the team members and customers.
