Electric Mobility has confirmed that its area dealer manager for the South West and Ireland retired yesterday.

Many on the industry were aware of Dave Holder’s imminent retirement through the industry’s rumour mill.

Electric Mobility said that it was “very sorry to say goodbye” to Holder, who has decided to retire and enjoy his adopted home in Cornwall.

A spokesperson said that the company sincerely wishes Holder and his wife Janet a “very long and happy retirement”.

“Dave is a big character and will be sorely missed by everyone. He has spent nearly 14 years supporting the Rascal Mobility, Rascal Rehab and Cosi Chair brands and has built up our business in the South West substantially during that time.

“Dave always goes the extra mile supporting dealers, arranging open days and events which build their business and presence within their local community.

“It is a measure of his reputation with his customers that many of them consider him their personal friend, not just Electric Mobility’s sales representative.

Replacing Holder is Dave Adams, who has re-joined the company as the South West and Ireland area dealer manager.

He has spent his entire career in the mobility business, initially in technical service and more recently in sales and business management.
