A firm specialising in Changing Places installations has completed its latest fitting in Eastbourne, where a fully-kitted disabled facility was launched this week.
iHUS brought the new state-of-the-art changing space to the seafront which is fitted out with a height adjustable changing bench, a tracking hoist system, a screen to allow extra privacy and enough space for the user and up to two carers.
Funded by Eastbourne Borough Council, Eastbourne’s latest Changing Places facility comes as the campaign for the improved-access toilets gains further momentum.
In July the 1,000th facility was installed and Eastbourne now has two such sites.
National exposure on social media and in the press has helped the cause and placed more pressure on businesses to invest in the facilities.
