Dolphin Lifts Midlands has become a Premier Partner for a homelift manufacturer after it installed a solution for a man who had to be rescued from his stairlift by the fire brigade when he became stuck on it for the third time in a week.
The West Bromwich-based dealer achieved Stiltz Lifts’ highest level of its three-tier dealer programme, after installing its first domestic lift in a property in Bromsgrove.
New customer Stephen Kimberley had been travelling downwards on the equipment when the mechanical device ground to a halt after having moved just four steps from the top of the stairs.
Mr Kimberley said he became ‘frightened’ of using the stairlift in case he became trapped again and the Stiltz Home Lift immediately ‘improved his life’.
By becoming a Premier Partner, Dolphin Lifts Midlands is able to take control of the purchase process from marketing to sales to installation after completing a free training course at the Stiltz Lifts HQ in Kingswinford, West Midlands.
Steve Wilson, new sales manager at Dolphin Lifts Midlands, said: “We are delighted to become a Premier Partner with Stiltz Lifts as it has given us access to the growing through floor market and we look forward to a building a strong partnership with the brand.
“We were impressed by the innovative design and aesthetics of the Stiltz Home Lift and our engineers were amazed at how simply and easily the product could be installed.
“Dolphin Lifts Midlands is proud to be able to offer our customers an alternative to a stairlift which is visually appealing and enables them to stay in their own home for many years to come.”
Gino Farruggio, UK trade sales director for Stiltz Lifts, said: “It is a pleasure to welcome Dolphin Lifts Midlands on board as our newest Stiltz Lifts Premier Partner.
“They are an experienced family-run business who have been installing lifts across the West and East Midlands for more than a decade so they are the perfect fit for Stiltz.
We worked very closely with them to ensure that Mr Kimberley had his Stiltz Home Lift installed as quickly as possible after the unpleasant experience he encountered with his stairlift breaking down three times in a week.”
