Change Mobility, a dealership based in Harrogate, has struck a partnership with a private care home chain as part of its plans to expand its services this year.
The company’s new deal with a brighterkind care home, part of the Four Seasons group, will see it launch a mobility walk-in clinic offering a range of advice and solutions for individuals with a scope of requirements.
Change Mobility, which is a sister firm of equipment supplier Beaucare, will also be involved in monthly talks for individuals, carers, families and nurses. Some of the talks scheduled for the upcoming months cover topics such as strength and balance, fall preventions and funding care.
As part of its plans to grow this year Change Mobility is looking to expand its range of electric powerchairs to meet increasing customer demand, managing director Jonathan Brown told AMP.
He hopes the company will grow alongside increasing opportunities in the sector including growing expenditure on mobility aids and the rise of bespoke equipment for specific conditions.
But Brown noted that the sector will come up against challenges this year including the increasing requirement for expert advice when assessing individual’s needs and suitability for particular equipment.
He added: “Change Mobility is equipped to cater to this need for specialist assessments, with clinical professionals providing free home assessments and offering unbiased advice and a range of products and solutions to help individuals stay comfortable in their homes.”
