WAV specialist Coachbuilt GB has been presented with the Queen’s Award for Enterprise recognising outstanding achievements in the innovation of coach-built independence vehicles.

The specialist motorhome designer and manufacturer won the award prior to its move to a new, larger factory in the near future where it hopes to develop its British and export markets.

It is hoped that the new accolade will aid the WAV firm in expanding its market stake. Coachbuilt’s turnover has already grown at an average of 200% per year over the last five years and it is eying further expansion.

A statement on its website read: “It is over-whelming to receive the approbation of such a prestigious award for an idea that we have been working so hard for 9 years to develop and promote.

“This award would not have been won without the overwhelming support from the owners/ambassadors of our Coachbuilt Independence Vehicles, their testimonials and continued support have provided some wonderful examples of how our vehicles change-lives.”

Founded in 2009, Coachbuilt is managed by Jeff Bull, who has extensive experience in the automotive manufacturing and caravan industries.
