Mandie Lavin, the BHTA’s new director general, has been unveiled as a headline speaker at the Trade Days show next month where she will address mobility dealers.
Ms Lavin will open the Trade Days show and will be speaking throughout the event. The topic of her keynote is yet to be announced.
Ms Lavin was appointed as the BHTA’s new director general in June when she declared that the trade body must ‘speak up loudly and effectively’ on the behalf of its members to support the growth of companies within the group.
On being appointed, she said that the industry is growing thanks to demographic changes but noted that the sector will face “many challenges ahead”.
Trade Days will kick off on Sunday 7 October. The show has a number of new features this year including live equipment auctions to give dealers the opportunity to purchase samples, end-of-line or discontinued stock held back by manufactures.
The exhibition, at the NEC in Birmingham, also promises ‘Dealer Days’, where retailers are invited to learn about manufacturers’ new products in a private environment, including Sunrise Medical.
On the first evening of Trade Days (Sunday 7) the AMP Awards will take place to celebrate excellence in mobility retail.
The event is free to attend for mobility dealers. You can register your interest to attend by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
